Established in 1988 in Blue Springs, Columbia College-Kansas City moved to Independence in 1993. The space offers wireless access, high-tech classrooms and computer labs, a student lounge and convenient, free parking. In addition, security is available at all times. Agreements with Metropolitan Community College and Johnson County Community College provide students a seamless transition from an associate degree through a bachelor's degree at Columbia College. The college offers a unique educational opportunity to working adults through its diverse degree offerings and eight-week course format. Students take a mix of in-seat and online classes.
